The TIS team of certified designers and experienced technicians can design, install, maintain and supply the right components for any size golf courses.
Installation of the new water efficient Toro irrigation system at Caloundra Golf Club is now completed.
TIS was proud to be the contractor of choice for this project at one of the Sunshine Coast premier golf courses. As an Irrigation Australia Limited Certified designer and contractor, TIS was able to work closely with the Club to ensure the requirements of all stakeholders were met from an operational, functional and forward planning perspective.
Brett Peel, TIS Managing Director said, “It is great to see the new irrigation system up and running and already providing real benefits to the Club. With improved water efficiency, enhanced irrigation coverage/uniformity and flexible watering programming, the new irrigation system is able to provide the exact amount of water precisely where it is needed. The TIS installation team has done a fantastic job and should be proud of their efforts and the completed system.”
Course Superintendent, Wayne Anderson, “The TIS installation crew that installed the system has done a great job in trying conditions due to the weather and some tough terrain. They have been very accommodating of our needs and have done everything they can to minimise any disruption to our normal operations. I cannot speak highly enough of the design of the system and the work that TIS have undertaken on our golf course.”
TIS were proud to be involved with the irrigation works at the prestigious RACV Royal Pines Resort golf course on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
TIS were awarded the project based on our reputation, past experience and our skilled project team. The Royal Pines project involved the installation of a new irrigation and control system to all greens, tees and fairways. Using the latest Rainbird water and energy efficient irrigation componentry, the system enables the course to be maintained to its highest quality as expected by the world’s leading golfers and resort guests.
As part of the new 18 hole irrigation system installed by TIS, the new irrigation pump station was designed and installed to suit recycled water as the primary source of irrigation including all stainless steel components, automatic self-flushing filter, water metering and fertigation and PH correction injection system. This was a challenging project as the new pump station was installed inside of the existing pump shed which lead to space limitations. As the old pump set needed to be removed before installation of the new system it was critical that the changeover of pump stations was as short as possible to ensure minimal loss of irrigation water supply to the golf course. Full changeover was completed in under three days including all mechanical and electrical works and commissioning of new system.
Upgrades to the watering system were completed, with the improvements already having a flow-on effect to the quality of the course.
The system was installed in two stages over the past three years, with the first stage, including a full upgrade of the pumping system and second stage of the upgrade was completed in December 2016.
